The Plain Sight Trilogy: Aden to Zanzibar, Two Penny Blue, Watermark.

In 1960s South Wales of coal and steel, three boys disappear. The small, tight-knit mining town cannot believe someone in their midst could be responsible but suspicions grow and loyalties beyond kin are tested to breaking point.

Sergeant Phillips must find them and will stop at nothing to protect his reputation and keep his iron grip on the town.

Three years pass as if in a fevered dream. An innocent man is in prison and deaths are unexplained. The vicar is wracked with guilt and prays for guidance but the end cannot be foreseen.

The flares of the oil refinery watch like fiery eyes and the winding gear over the mines stand like prescient, black monuments to loss.
