A chance to reconnect.
A chance to get revenge . . .

Emily Toller has tried to forget her time at university and the events that led to her suddenly leaving under a cloud. She has done everything she can to forget the shame and the trauma – and the people involved. She has tried to focus on the life she has built with her children and husband, Nick.

But events like that can’t just be forgotten. Not without someone answering for what they’ve done.

When an invitation arrives to a University reunion, everything clicks into place. Emily has a plan.

Because if you can’t forget – why not get revenge?

Loved it!

”𝑨 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕…𝑨 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒆…”

Having read and enjoyed Phillips debut novel, My Best Friends Murder, I was excited to read The Reunion. Addictive right from the outset, the time just flew by reading this and I devoured it in one sitting!

For some, university/college, can be the best time of their lives. For others, it is their worst. For our lead Emily, her time at Cambridge to start with was all she hoped, but one event destroyed it all. Now fifteen years later, what better place than a reunion to settle a score for those that wronged her.

“𝑨𝒍𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒎𝒆 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔𝒏’𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒈𝒐 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒓𝒆𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝑰’𝒎 𝒂𝒍𝒔𝒐 𝒅𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒈𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈. 𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒆𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕’𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒎𝒚 𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒏𝒇𝒂𝒍𝒍” -𝑬𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚 𝑻𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒓-

With a cast of mostly unlikeable characters that suited the story well, the anticipation of what Emily had planned and the event that lead her to this place, had me furiously flicking the pages to find out. It was tough to read about but in no way was I prepared as to how it played out which did leave me feeling very satisfied.

All round The Reunion is a very entertaining read and I look forward to Phillips next offering.
