Publisher Description
Written as a script for a video game, a manga and RPG-inspired story, this stand-alone tale follows Ashton Lighten, a 20-year-old Psychology Honours student, who is transported to a world of elemental manipulators. The years following the events of The Rostical Users and The Rostical Guild series have resulted in many changes in this alternate dimension.
Ashton, armed with the memories of his parents, faces off against the nefarious magical clones, Rondria, Nostias and Abios, who seek to unleash a dangerous and powerful being upon the world. Immediately finding himself on a strange new continent, he must rely on new allies to save the world – and find his way back to all he knows.
Vunillo has been a slave for his entire life and only now understands the injustice done to him. With Ashton by his side, he must learn to master both his unique powers and his own identity beyond societal expectations.
Dhiya lives to serve her people, until Dhisha, her best friend, sends her away with an unusual order. She joins the quest with Ashton and Vunillo, seeking their help to try to find her reason to live.
Grieving from the events of a dark past, Zenobia thirsts both for revenge and the cold comfort of alcohol. A chance encounter in a catacomb and an alliance of necessity, forces her into a grudging respect for our heroes. Can she learn to trust again, learn to heal from her deep wounds?
The Rostical Quest explores how these four unlikely friends come together to save the world and as a family. Please follow their adventure and help them see it through to the end!

Enriching Themes
I was not aware of this book until two days before release. I finished this on the day of release! I found the characters fascinating. Vunillo really hit home, his struggle with finding out his family were using him as a slave and how he came to be was really motivating.
I always enjoyed this Author’s imagination and the Quest is no different. There are images in the dialogue which makes me wish his other work did the same. It was enthralling and made for a better read.
I originally didn’t like Ashton, I found him too cocky until he discovered the taste of evil and how he expresses his emotions were fantastic. I loved his fun facts, I even googled some of them to find out they were real!
I found Dhiya to be quite cliche but half way through, the amount of growth and depth she is succumbed to really blew me out of the water.
I’m not a fan of love triangles but can I say that this is the representation my sister wants. I will be recommending this to her and to others.
Another great character driven story. It’s clear how far Rogers’ writing has become and will be reading this again at a more leisure level pace! 5/5 loved it.
METEOR SWARM
There are four main characters each with their own set of skills and quirks. I loved how Ashton used healing powers through punches, Low learning how to fly, Dhiya’s released form and Zen overcoming her troubled past and using lightning!
I may have laughed and got upset a few times. The art is awesome and I really like how there’s avatars for each line of dialogue. There were a few plot twists that were hinted or skilfully foreshadowed earlier on. The true villain had a troubled and unfortunate past aswell. I definitely recommend this to any lover of JRPGs!
This pleases Dhiya!
Awesome story
I absolutely loved this script. Each character has growth and were all likeable! I live Zenobia. I cried, it was beautiful.
