Great read
This book uses very relevant vocabulary for beginners and is an interesting story which I really enjoyed.
Interesting and Effective Way To Learn Chinese
90%+ literacy makes reading graded books more meaningful, and new words are repeated quite often, making it easy to learn and recognise characters!
Definitely going to check out the other graded books by Mandarin Companion, though the high price means I won't get them all.
I hear level 2 books are coming in 2014.
