The Sign of the Four

Sir Arthur Igneyshus Conan Doyle (22.05.1859 — 07.07. 1930) English writer , author of numerous adventure , historical, journalistic , fiction and humorous works.

Arthur was born in Edinburgh in Scotland. He was named in honor of uncle father, litterateur and artist Michael Conan. His father, Charlies Oltemont Doyle married to Mary Foley. She very loved books and had  narrator talent. Arthur inherited  a talent from her. When he was a student, Arthur tried his power in literature. His first story named “The Mystery of Sasassa Valley”. It's story  was published in Chamber Journal, where published the first works of Tomas Hardy. This writer presented to our world story about brilliant detective, whose name Sherlock Holmes and his friend and partner Doctor Watson.

Sherlock investigates the most difficult crime by deduction, This made him unique.


The Sign of Four – It's a detective story about young woman Marry  Morsten, which asked  help from Sherlock Holmes  in order to unravel the mistery. At last six years, once а year Marry sends anonymous  posting with wonderful pearl. His father disappeared ten years ago. Maybe it's two events are linked?
