Six of Crows
Criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams - but he can't pull it off alone.
A convict with a thirst for revenge.
A sharpshooter who can't walk away from a wager.
A runaway with a privileged past.
A spy known as the Wraith.
A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums.
A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes.
Kaz's crew is the only thing that might stand between the world and destruction - if they don't kill each other first.
Crooked Kingdom
Double-crossed and badly weakened, Kaz's crew is low on resources, allies, and hope. As powerful forces from around the world descend on Ketterdam to root out the secrets of the dangerous drug known as Jurda Parem, old rivals and new enemies emerge to challenge Kaz's cunning and test the team's fragile loyalties.
A war will be waged on the city's dark and twisting streets - a battle for revenge and redemption that will decide the fate of the Grisha world.

LOVEEDDDD
This book has my whole heart. Have never been a big fantasy reader, but this duology may have just as well gotten me hooked.
LOVE
Extremely fun book to analyse! The depth is definitely there, you just have to want to find it. Character development is clear and reasonable, diversity without it being forced (i.e their identities aren’t their entire character), and very entertaining. The main characters are all teenagers and the POV changes chapter to chapter. One of my comfort reads for sure! (Coming from someone who’s usually reading victorian literature)
Wouldn’t buy or even borrow from the library if it was free
Diverse characters for the sake of inclusion, lack of development of characters or abilities and a main character who’s plot armour in the form of “genius intellect” is difficult to swallow and seemed to be a literary tool to help the author get the characters out of “impossible situations”. Quit halfway through the second.
