Excellent detail
I've read all of Laura Morelli's books, her attention to detail is excellent, I like long lazy books, and I like the two different times and the back and forth between the painting of the Mona Lisa and the war time protection of same. The book is well written and it's very visual, you can see the silks of Florence , feel the tensions with the French war effort and then the panic as the Germans storm into France. I recommend this book, lovely historical details and a gripping story.
