The Storm King

Engaged to be married, the young merman named Meros has just found the perfect wedding gift for his bride-to-be when he's scooped unceremoniously from the sea in a scientist's net and is held hostage at a research lab. Once Meros' soon-to-be father-in-law and king of all oceans, the powerful Merlyn, learns of his abduction, he arranges to kidnap the scientist's own son in retaliation and holds him for ransom. "The Storm King" is a fish-out-of-water story for both characters and the vivid narrative explores themes of compassion, trust, humility, respect, family and love.
