The Story of Bacon's Rebellion

Mary Newton Stanard's classic History of Bacon's Rebellion is reproduced here. This late 17th century conflict in the Virginia provence has been called by some the precursor to the American Revolution. Stanard's work has also been classed by some as biased toward Nathaniel Bacon, leader of the rebellion.
