With her keen eye for character, relationships and difficult moral dilemmas, the American author’s at the top of her game in this 2013 novel. The issue at stake in this surprising small-town drama about the friendship between a reclusive young woman and a well-loved 95-year-old man is the Holocaust. The Storyteller takes you on an emotional rollercoaster ride that explores concepts of evil, forgiveness and revenge.
