My name is Wilaiwan Schultz. I was born and brought up in Thailand for 27 years before I married my Aussie husband and moved to Brisbane Australia.
I was born on Koh Phangan (an island in the south) and then brought up in Koh Samui for 15 years. From a very young age I watched my mum cooked every day. She makes beautiful curry dishes and love to make the curry paste from scratch. Every time mum cooked the delicious smell would take over the whole house.
It was thru watching people cook (including mum) that I start to cook which is what led me to writing this cook book and wanting to share traditional Thai food with the rest of the world and hopefully they will get as much enjoyment and appreciation of real Thai food as I do.
