The Tooth That Time Forgot

The find of a lifetime might cost this college professor his life.

When Richard Calhoun finds a fossilized human molar while digging in the Canadian Rockies, he's sure he's made the discovery of his career.

Until the lab reveals that the tooth is 23,500 years old.

The news throws Calhoun's professional community into an uproar. His colleagues insist humans didn't arrive in the Americas before 12,500 years ago, when the last glaciers melted. They dismiss Calhoun's find as a fake and accuse him of being an imposter.

His university administrators warn him not to rock the academic boat. Tabloid reporters lionize him as the discoverer of the Missing Link, which makes Calhoun a target for those who want to discredit him. Not only does Calhoun's ne'er-do-well brother try to make a profit from the discovery, but the Canadian government threatens legal action for removing an indigenous artifact.

The find of a lifetime is going to cost Calhoun his career, and maybe his life…unless he can prove he's right against the forces working to silence him.

A thrilling mystery from the author of The Last Voyage of the Marigold and Escape on the Silk Road, The Tooth That Time Forgot is being hailed by early readers as a fascinating read and Moore's best writing yet.
