The Turning Point

Only a little into the future, a young American turns up in a Scottish village with no idea how she got there. Judy Ruono came for an acting job. What she found was the Foundation: a charity in name, with a hand in most governments and a use for girls like her that has nothing to do with profit and everything to do with leverage. The courier sent to deliver her has other ideas,  and pays for them with his life. Now Judy is lodging on a remote farm with a lawyer turned farmer and an eccentric retired policeman. None of them chose this fight. When the farm is besieged by crowds who cannot say why they are there, the three of them stop asking whether something is wrong and start asking who is behind it. That question takes them from Scotland to California, and into the open against an organisation that has never had to answer to anyone. The Turning Point is a fast, violent, anti-establishment thriller set in a world close enough to recognise, about ordinary people who find out how much power they have once they refuse to look away.
