Every Creator Must Read This
A book so full of wisdom and insights into the creator that it won't just illuminate you or educate you, it will shift you!
I really wanted to love this book
I've seen so many recommendations about this book and seen it mentioned countless times by people who I regard as leaders in self development. To be fair, the first 2 parts of this book are a superb guide to cultivating a strong work ethic and explain how to become self aware of procrastination and self sabotage in regards to all areas of life, not just creative pursuits.
However, the 3rd part drifts off into quasi new age spirituality where the author talks of angels, muses and generally wallows in fluffy self help cliche's, such as 'we are all more afraid of success than failure' and 'when we start to dedicate ourselves towards a goal, mysterious forces are enlisted to help us'.
Be aware also, it is a book with 120 pages of content spread out over 170.
