Cleo Black has chosen death as her resolution. She's made the plan, written the note, even built her own casket. The problem is, she sucks at suicide.

When Myron, her only friend, asks her to go with him to a new church, Cleo holds her tongue and goes. The last thing she wants is to be inside a church, having grown up with a religious zealot for a mother and a pastor who should burn in Hell for what he did to her. But she'd do almost anything for Myron.

A confrontation with a preacher and a desperate need for money lands Cleo, a hard-drinking, weed-smoking atheist, as the church's new pastor.
