Publisher Description
Now with a stunning new cover look comes this captivating volume in King's epic fantasy series THE DARK TOWER.
The No. 1 Sunday Times bestseller The Wind through the Keyhole is a perfect bridge between the fourth and fifth novels in Stephen King's epic masterpiece. A story within a story which features both the younger and older gunslinger, it is also a wonderful introduction to The Dark Tower series.
As Roland Deschain, and his ka-tet leave the Emerald city, a ferocious storm halts their progress along the Path of the Beam. While they shelter from the starkblast, Roland tells a story about his younger days, when he was sent by his father to investigate evidence of a murderous shape-changer.
At the scene of the crime he had tried to comfort a terrified young boy called Bill Streeter by reciting a story from The Magic Tales of the Eld that his mother used to read to him at bedtime, 'The Wind through the Keyhole'.
'A person's never too old for stories,' he said to Bill. 'Man and boy, girl and woman, we live for them.'
And stories like these, they live for us.

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
King returns to the Mid-World of his Dark Tower series in this gory but hopeful set of nested tales. As gunslinger Roland Deschain and his companions quest toward the Dark Tower, Roland tells a story of his early days as a gunslinger, hunting down a murderous shape-shifter on a rampage. Within that tale is a fairy tale Roland tells to a young boy about Tim, a very brave boy tricked into a dangerous quest by an evil man. Tim's adventure is pitch-perfect, capturing both the feel of Mid-World and the perilous nature of a fairy story. Its placement within the quest works beautifully, and it propels the story of the shape-shifter and the child who holds the key to its identity. Even those who aren't familiar with the series will find the conclusion both satisfying and moving. This gripping novel is sure to put King back on the bestseller lists.
Customer Reviews
Fantastic.
Was so exited when this book popped up, was hoping it would pick up after book VII.... Still, was glad to catch up with old friends and have another peek, although slim into the gunslingers youth. Only problem was I read it too quickly and now it's over..... Please sai king let the journey continue.
I second that - overpriced
Why is the printed bound book the same price, or less, then the e- version?! It makes NO SENSE! No one had to print, bind, package, ship, unwrap, shelve and serve me in a shop...this is profiteering at its worst.
We are not stupid. We are consumers. We vote with our dollars.
Stephen King is my favourite author but on principle I will not be buying this until it is considerably less than the paper version. I encourage others to do the same.
Overpriced
30% cheaper in the US store
F**k you Apple for not enforcing consistent pricing (that goes for iTunes music too)
F**k you Hachette / Hodder and Stoughton for being greedy and taking advantage of Apples region locked(!) digital book store
