London, 1960.

Living in the New Forest with their cold-hearted grandmother, twins Maisy and Duncan are neglected and unloved.

So when Duncan fails to come home after exploring the woods, no one - least of all his grandmother - appears to care.

Yet Maisy refuses to give up.

Though she doesn't know the woods well, she knows someone who does. The strange old woman who lives at their heart . . .

Dare Maisy enlist the help of the woman in the wood?

And what will she find if she does?

Brilliant

Kept me wanting more, great read. Made me feel I was there watching the story unfold.

Silly story

This book had a silly storyline I used to like her books but doubt I would read another one

MF05TER ,

Same old same old

I use to love her books and they are good easy reading, however this one seemed a little predictable and not as well thought out as some of the others. They all have the same kind of story line (rape, torture, more rape, lost love or betrayal, bad parents etc!).
Don't think I will buy another one as it's getting boring reading the similar story line.
