The Young Alaskans on the Trail

Emerson Hough was an American author best known for writing western stories and historical novels. His other notable works included Story of the Cowboy, which received a high recommendation from President Theodore Roosevelt. He also wrote autobiographical works, such as "Getting a Wrong Start", published anonymously as a serial in the Saturday Evening Post.  His most notable non-fictional works were popular historical celebrations of great mythic figures of the Old West.

“The Young Alaskans” is a relatively uncommon five book series of Emerson Hough. The stories chronicle the outdoor adventures of three Alaskan boys.  The main heroes of «The Young Alaskans on the Trail» are three young fellows, led by half-breed guides, follow the trail of the early transcontinental explorers across the Rocky Mountain Divide. This is a book which appeals to the reader's body and soul!
