Ticked all my boxes
I read this book a while ago and after listening to Jason Clarke and Emma Watson bring the charts life I remembered why I loved this story so much. The narration was just perfect .
Jason and Eileen are pushed together when they agree reluctantly to plan a wedding for Jason’s cousin Marek and Eileen’s spoiled sister Charlie, not only is Jason helping to plan the wedding he is also funding it because no one else has the money to give bridezilla Charlie the wedding she feels she deserves. Both Jason and Eileen have had some bad hands dealt them in their past, Jason was left at the altar and Eileen has always been pushed aside by her family and has always lived in her sister Charlie’s shadow so love and marriage is the last thing they believe in but as always these two will put their own believes aside to try and make the wedding day perfect for the bride and groom.......
I loved watching 2 strangers become friends and eventually lovers as this story unfolded, the banter was witty and flowed naturally as these two bonded over wedding plans. Characters with depth and who are easy to love as well as a story that’s easy to relate too all helped make this witty book an very enjoyable read. Loved Jason and Eileen, loved the banter and I loved the plot.
The narrators had me falling in love once again.
Confusing
The story was good but it felt like some of the chapters were out of order as it kept skipping around without logic or warning
Beautiful
What a beautiful story. Eileen the sister of the bride and Jason the grooms cousin are in charge of organising the wedding from hell but during that horrendous time comes the most beautiful of friendships. Jason isn’t over the incident that broke his heart and Eileen is the middle child who is never seen but they see get other. Claudia is a master in emotionally beautiful stories and this one certainly delivered with you laughing one moment and in the next moment you are crying.
