Publisher Description
Half the man, twice the lawyer.
In the small city of Strattenburg, there are many lawyers, and though he's only thirteen years old, Theo Boone thinks he's one of them. Theo knows every judge, policeman, court clerk - and a lot about the law. He dreams of being a great trial lawyer, of a life in the courtroom. But Theo finds himself in court much sooner than he expected. Because he knows so much - maybe too much - he is suddenly dragged into the middle of a sensational murder trial. A cold-blooded killer is about to go free, and only Theo knows the truth. The stakes are high, but Theo won't stop until justice is served.

Okay before I go on this series meant for Teens! Okay onto the review: slow start but you get into it also full of suspense. Keeps you guessing and all that. Four stars because I like reading an actual book.
This is fiction written especially for young adults - not Grisham's normal fare.
The book gets a single star from me, not because it was terrible, but because nowhere in the description are we alerted to the fact that John Grisham wrote this especially for teenagers - indeed there is a hardcover version with a different cover aimed at readers aged 8 - 12. As a novel for kids that age, it's fantastic - exactly what I would have enjoyed reading as a kid. As a novel for adults, Grisham's style of writing (which has never been all ghat intellectually taxing) is now just a bit too simple. Shame on Apple and the publishers for not warning Grisham's regular audience that this book was not written for them.

Extremely simple, with a most unsatisfactory ending that left many loose ends. The main character is a 13 year old would- be lawyer, and this book might be intended for this age group.
I was expecting this book to be like the first one Grisham wrote, and was most disappointed.
