Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman

This book summarises research and work that was conducted over decades, much of which was done by Kahneman, in collaboration with Amos Tversky. Kahneman is an Israeli-American psychologist who is best known for his work on the psychology of judgement and decision making as well as behavioural economics.
