Three Hampton Roads companies have qualified for federal grants or tax credits through a new program supporting biomedical research. The Therapeutic Discovery Project program, created by the national health care overhaul, awards small companies that show potential for producing new therapies, addressing unmet medical needs, reducing the growth of health care costs or advancing the goal of curing cancer within 30 years.
