To Build a Cabin is a story about how to  build but also why to build a log cabin. It is a story about family, friendship, and community as well as a practical illustration of basic building techniques. It draws upon do it yourself techniques as well as inspiration from Henry David Thoreau and time spent with friends in rural Tanzania.
