Customer Reviews
Masterfully written!
In fairness, I've read this book fifty times, easily. It never fails to move me. The writing is filled with the pathos of the inter war years and represents, beautifully, what must have been the thoughts of those who faced such dreadful struggles through the period.
Laced with tragedy, humour, insight into the human condition and love this is one of the best books you will ever read!
It's a shame Mr Delderfield cannot be told how much he moved me!
