Cassie Yoshida should have—but foolishly had not—anticipated that Third Eye, the event-prediction software she had developed, would attract the attention not only of law enforcement, but of the highest levels at the NSA. All of which meant that suddenly her ground-breaking research and developments, as well as Cassie herself, became objects of 'National Security'. But she had no intention of becoming just another cog in the operations of organizations that would make her an effective prisoner. And so she decided not to cooperate—with predictable and shocking consequences.

FBI Special Agent Terry Wheeler was determined to beat the NSA to finding Cassie, who, having found unexpected help, had gone underground and was nowhere to be found. He thought that his twenty years with the agency should make it comparatively easy for him to locate her; but what he found instead was the last thing could possibly have expected.
