Great read!

The romance doesn’t go as you think it might haha which I loved as books of this type do get preeeeetty predictable.
I love Michelle’s work

Issues with character morality

Overall it was... ok? I HATED the fact she was lying and so selfish for basically ALL of the book. I mean she eventually put together that her information was helping SLAVERS and she still held onto the relationship? I mean I get she didn’t want to hurt his feelings, and that being with him was a lifelong dream. But people (like her FRIEND) were literally being stolen and sold as slaves to be abused and tossed away like trash and she’s all “but telling would ruin MY happiness”.
She was never a character I could root for. I get her motivation, but not how she chose to handle the situation.
Plus There were sentences scattered throughout that didn’t make sense tense wise. It was random and really took you out of the moment when you had to stop to figure out what the author or characters were trying to say.
