Story line had promise
The story line captivated my interest being set in a medieval fantasy land. However, I found the characters wish washy and under developed. I wasn’t drawn to any of them and was irritated by the constant personality glitches. One moment the prince was a strong and fierce warrior, the next moment he was a snivelling brat who laughed like a chipmunk. I also found it disturbing that the knight who had been throughly mistreated then turned around to mistreat others though he was disgusted with this type of behaviour. The princess sustained so many injuries on top of each other that I doubt she would have survived half of them in reality. Throw in the fact that the first book leaves you hanging with no resolutions and I have to say the overall feeling I was left with was one of disappointment. So much potential but didn’t reach it in my honest opinion.
Also, for those who appreciate a clean read, this is not the book for you.
