They were Australian Ballroom Champions, but when Lunda decided she wanted more than a working relationship with partner Sam Neilson, she was disappointed.
Storming from the hall in a fit of pique, she informed him to find another partner, as she was moving on!
Sam decided to take a few weeks off and travel to Brisbane to visit his sister Emily. Once a dancer, always a dancer so when the preliminary heats for Ballroom dancing began in Queensland, Sam tagged along and enjoyed his niece's heats in the junior dance section. That was until he met her dance teacher, Penny Smith. When one very young student is left without a partner, Sam offers his help.
One can tell a true Champion by the turn of her ankle, so when Sam watches Penny dance her student about the floor, he saw it for himself. Taking the biggest chance of his life, Sam asked Penny to become his new partner. Stepping out of their comfort zone to dance the Rhumba, Latin, Jive Tango and Passa Dobl’e.
Peter Sherman watched from the side line, his mouth a fine line of hatred for the dancer who refused to be his partner. If he can’t have her, no one else can and he will do anything to destroy her.
When the local news is picked up nationally, Lunda discovers her mistake and tries to rectify the situation, vying to be Sam's partner again.
