APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
“For medical personnel the world over, Christmas is just another day,” writes Adam Kay. However, as anyone who read the former doctor’s first book—This is Going to Hurt—knows, there’s nothing so mundane as “just another day” on the frontline of medicine. Sure enough, this collection of stories from his festive seasons spent on the wards reveals the extraordinary realities of working for the NHS. Kay retains his warm and witty bedside manner as he recounts tales of coded messages left in hospitals for visiting politicians, the alarming effects of a penis-enlargement cream and the chaos caused by bringing an air freshener into a delivery room. Those laughs only make the heartbreaking moments more powerful. One entry from 2006 is particularly devastating to read—but a necessary reminder of the trials endured by staff and patients alike.

Amazing!
Amazing book. Adam Kay is hilarious. A must read alongside his other book.
Please, Adam, never stop writing!
I just adored this book!
Great read but too short
Just as funny and informative as his first book, my only disappointment is that this is more a novella in length, which makes the purchase price quite high for what you get.
