Unusual Sorrows

In his second collection of poetry, Richard Fenwick continues to explore the joys, sorrows and absurdities that span the length of our human experience. Written over a six-year period of love, loss, and renewal, this collection delves into the width and breadth of the emotions we all share, and poses these simple questions: what is sorrow, and why does it sometimes feel unusual?

Richard is the recipient of Stepping Stone Magazine’s “Poet of the Year” award. His poems have appeared in such periodicals and anthologies as Rattle, The Virginia Quarterly Review, The Adirondack Review, and The Tishman Review.

A Russian translator who works with Holocaust Survivors from the former-Soviet Union now living in Southern Arizona, Richard co-edited a two-volume set of survivor stories: "To Tell Our Stories: Holocaust Survivor of Southern Arizona"
