John Galsworthy (14 August 1867 - 31 January 1933) - is an English writer, playwright, known for his work The Forsyte Saga (1906-1921) and received the Nobel Prize in Literature. He was born and grew up in a wealthy and influential family in Surrey, England. John was educated at Oxford and went to travel abroad, where he wrote his first collection of short stories. During his long life, he managed to write many interesting works. In 1929, for literary merit, John Galsworthy became a member of The Order of Merit
