Wade v. State

OPINION The appellant, Alex Melvin Wade, was convicted by a jury of forgery. The appellant pled true to the allegations contained in an enhancement paragraph of the indictment, and the jury assessed punishment at confinement for 20 years and a fine of $10,000. See Tex. Penal Code Ann. 12.42(a)(3), 32.21 (Vernon Supp. 2000). 1
