Weapons of Mass Distraction

Byline: Aisha Amjad A strange phenomena is creeping over the world, unlike anything anyone has ever seen or experienced before. It is pervading our daily lives and literally influences what we do, eat, pray and love at work and at home. There is an emerging new war of the wor(l)ds taking place, a war on error predicated by bad grammar and fancy graphics. i-pods, i-pads, and i-phones have taken over the hegemony of digital discourse, with the potential to be more powerful than i-raq and i-ran combined due to the way in which it can shape minds and distort perceptions. This new war is for try-hardists rather than jihadists, who rely on a network of people like themselves, out to change the world and its opinion of them... in real time and beyond. This encroachment on who we are blurs the trajectory of who we are meant (or want to be). It knows no boundaries or geographic space, it embraces the diversity of the human race. It defies status and is the book of every face.
