Where I End.
I absolutely loved this book. It is definitely worth so many more than 5 stars, I think this is one of the best books I’ve ever read. This book is about a subject that is often hidden in our society due to shame felt by the victims of this horrific crime. The main focus of the story is that of childhood sexual assault and the impact felt by all of those involved. The story is beautifully written with both authority and sensitivity. The storyline was smooth and logical with twists and turns to keep the reader focussed. The characters were amazing and so very realistic. Cy and Evie are strongly defined characters who grow and develop throughout the story to overcome the issues and learn to fight for what is good and right to eventually find the happy ever after that they both so richly deserve. Michelle Dare’s words immersed me in the story. I could feel their pain, anger, frustration. I cried with the characters and I even laughed on the odd occasion. I became angry on their behalf and sincerely hoped they could both overcome their enormous struggles. I was absolutely captivated by this story, from beginning to end. Congratulations to and thanks for must go to Dare for firstly, writing about this shocking subject and secondly, showing it in such a sensitive yet authoritative manner. I’ll certainly be on the lookout for more from this amazing author.
