White Balance For An Image

An imaging apparatus which has white balance control means comprising:

1.1

adjusting white balance based on —(1) the brightness of a photographed object,

(2) distance to the photographed object, and

(3) zoom level;

1.2

ascertaining an "object distance threshold" based on the (1) brightness of a photographed object and

(3) zoom level; and,

1.3

adjusting the amount of white balancing in accordance with a comparison of

(2) distance to the photographed object and the "object distance threshold."
