Whitehaven Gardens

Unknown to Judith, her mother is addicted to slot machines. Her mother's strange behaviour starts Judith and her school friends on a bewildering journey of discovery which pushes their amateur detective skills to the limit. The novel was inspired by the daughter of a slot machine problem gambler. It gives a glimpse into the courage and resourcefulness of these neglected children and their feelings of vulnerability, pain, bewilderment and helplessness.
