Why I teach in Norfolk I HAVE RECENTLY started my 23rd year of teaching for Norfolk Public Schools. This year, NPS employees were treated to pep rallies at each of the high schools. The elementary schools and middle schools that feed into each of the high schools spent the morning at their respective high school. Dr. Richard Bentley, the superintendent, delivered a message of "Believe and Commit" for the upcoming year and reminded the staff to focus on student success.
