Prince Nikolai Balthazar Gaspalchior Claus… is no prince at all. He is the son of the dowager queen and her past lover, and thus does not possess the magical crest that he should have inherited from the late Yule King. Now the only way for him to remain a part of Yule Kingdom is to serve its true heir.

Luckily for Nikolai, the true crown prince… turns out to be a princess. But Aurea Hollydew is too wet behind the ears to know anything about being the next queen. With time running out and a kingdom to please, they must do as other nobles would in their situation—enter an engagement of convenience.
