Loved this!
This is a great book! I am loving this series!
Immensely repetitive
As a big fan of the author’s work, I was stunned to learn that the crescent city books were written almost a decade after throne of glass, because they read like debut novels. As the reader we are given no credit whatsoever - every single time Ithan is mentioned we are reminded that he was once a sun ball player. After the 50TH time in the first two hours of listening, I almost quit and just spark noted the rest. It’s so patronizing in its repetitiveness with every character and event description that if it weren’t for the raunchy bits, I would assume the intended audience was preteens. On the plus side, if you’re looking for an easy audio book to jump in and out of over the course of a month, look no further. Whatever you forget you will assuredly be reminded of in each chapter. Plot is cool, editing is nonexistent.
Should have bought the two audiobooks for $20 each
Just one person changing her voice.. if I spend $50 on an audio book then I want graphic audio.
