When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a terrifying creature arrives to demand retribution. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she knows about only from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not truly a beast, but one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled her world.
At least, he's not a beast all the time.
As she adapts to her new home, her feelings for the faerie, Tamlin, transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But something is not right in the faerie lands. An ancient, wicked shadow is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it, or doom Tamlin-and his world-forever.
From bestselling author Sarah J. Maas comes a seductive, breathtaking series that blends romance, adventure, and faerie lore into an unforgettable listen.

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
High-stakes magic and red-hot romance jump-start the first installment in this epic fantasy series. When desperate young hunter Feyre Archeron kills a wolf that turns out to be magical, she must pay the price: leaving behind her starving family to become a prisoner in the dangerous world of the faerie. But this supernatural realm is far from what Feyre had imagined. Everything about the faerie life is rich and enticing—especially her ever-changing feelings for her masked captor, the High Lord Tamlin. Sarah J. Maas’ resourceful heroine definitely doesn’t need rescuing, and we loved following along as she takes up the quest to free her strange new homeland from an ancient curse. With a full voice cast, dramatic sound effects, and a lush soundtrack, A Court of Thorns and Roses takes you to a sensual world bursting with complexity—and unbridled lust.
Customer Reviews
Glad I read the book first
I’m listening to reread the series. I love the story, I love the series, I love the characters. I do not like the narrator for Feyre, if this was my first introduction to her, I would find her weak and annoying. I liked hearing multiple people be the voices for the multitude of characters. Do this if you have already read the book.
Do yourself a favor and read this!
I just transitioned from Empyrean Series and this is great! Doesn’t disappoint. Easy read as well!
