A Bad Heart

This audiobook is narrated by an AI Voice. In this classic, piercing sermon based on Jeremiah 17:9–10, Bishop J. C. Ryle confronts one of the most foundational yet widely rejected truths of Scripture: the innate deceitfulness and wickedness of the human heart.

Stripping away the self-righteous illusions and moral excuses that people often cling to, Ryle demonstrates through exhaustive biblical evidence, historical accounts, and everyday human behavior how prone mankind is to self-deception and spiritual apathy.

He solemnly reminds listeners that while individuals may deceive themselves or others, God intimately searches every hidden corner of the soul and will hold every heart accountable.

Yet, Ryle leaves no room for despair, presenting the glorious, complete remedy found in the Gospel—urgent repentance and transformational faith in Jesus Christ, whose cross offers a renewed heart, full cleansing, and abounding grace.
