Firefighter Cy Brennon's main goal is to make sure everyone caught in a fire comes out safely and alive. When he breaks into a burning house, the last thing he expects to find is a beautiful young woman, untouched by the flames, in what he can only describe as a "fire-free zone". 

Pulled together after the fire and their similar tragic childhoods, they search to discover more about Mia's Native American roots and the powers she has always feared.
