Thomas Bulfinch (1763 - 1844) was an American writer known for his classic retelling of the great myths and legends, from ancient Greece and Rome to the time of Charlemagne. 

The Age of Chivalry focuses on Arthurian legends of the legendary King Arthur who, according to medieval histories and romances, led the defense of Britain against Saxon invaders in the late 5th and early 6th centuries AD.
