2014 International Meeting Place

FotoFest’s portfolio review program, THE MEETING PLACE, gives artists the opportunity to meet and show their work to top arts professionals from around the world. The event is literally a “meeting place” – a place where photographic artists, arts professionals, collectors, and colleagues are able to network, collaborate, share ideas, and establish life-long connections.


The Meeting Place Portfolio Review brings together over 500 photographic artists from around the world and across the United States, with over 160 professional Reviewers. It is the largest portfolio review program in the world. 


We invite some of the most important people in the field of photography from all over the world to come to Houston to meet registered artists and review their portfolios. Reviewers include museum curators, gallery owners, directors of non-profit organizations, magazine editors, representatives of photography agencies, collectors and publishers.


FotoFest created the first international Biennial of Photography and Photo-related Art in the United States. FotoFest is an international non-profit photographic arts and education organization based in Houston, Texas.


FotoFest's purpose is to promote the exchange of art and ideas through international programs and the presentation of photographic art. Our programs work globally and locally, bringing together an international vision of art and cross-cultural exchange with a commitment to community involvement and the enrichment of Houston's cultural resources.
