276 people generously gave of their time to reflect on the tragic event that occurred in Nigeria in April 2014. They were free to decide whether to participate or not, and they were also free to take their own picture. They are free people with freewill. Each person, selflessly, took a self-portrait to document their participation in this project. Their self-portraits were printed on cotton to be exhibited to the public. 


As those fabric-printed self-portraits will eventually fray and disappear, photographs were taken of them to be presented in this eBook. The fabric’s texture and imperfections can be seen merged as one with the portraits. 


276 personas en la ciudad de los Ángeles, California, dieron su tiempo para reflexionar sobre el trágico suceso que ocurrió en Nigeria en el mes de abril del 2014. Estas personas fueron libres para escoger si participaban o no, y también fueron libres de escoger el momento para tomar su foto. Todos ellos son personas libres con libre albedrío. Cada persona tomó un autorretrato, desinteresadamente, para documentar su participación en este proyecto. Sus autorretratos fueron impresos sobre tela de algodón para ser exhibidos al público (éstos retratos se dañarán y desaparecerán eventualmente).


Este eBook fue creado con fotografías tomadas de los retratos impresos en tela antes de ser exhibidos (la textura e imperfecciones de la tela pueden ser observadas en los retratos).
