Sir Pelham Grenville Wodehouse was an English author and one of the most widely read humorists of the 20th century. He was born in Guildford in 1881, he is the son of a British magistrate based in Hong Kong. Wodehouse studied teenage years at Dulwich College. After that he worked in a bank but disliked the work and started writing in his spare time. His early novels were mostly school stories, but he later turned to write comic fiction. Sir Pelham Grenville Wodehouse died in 1975.
