Publisher Description
Carmine Tramunti took over the Lucchese crime family following the death of the organization's boss, Thomas Lucchese, in 1967. Tramunti and Anthony "Tony Ducks" Corrallo were rivals to ascend to the top spot of the New York City syndicate. Tramunti later made a name for himself with investments in nightclubs, dice games and various rackets. The most infamous bars in which he had a stake were the Pussycat and Bachelor's III, both in Manhattan. The latter was especially well-known because New York Jets football player Joe Namath was a prominent investor.
