Complex Familiarity

Familiarity breeds contempt, and that is no exception for Nestra Clancy and Glenn d’Amico. They’ve known each other nearly their entire lives, and have spent much of that time antagonizing one another. But things are changing in their world.
Nestra is flailing and undecided about her future which had seemed so set just a short while ago. She just knows that she cannot go on as she has been. She also cannot handle her sudden attraction to the bane of her existence, her big brother’s best bud. On top of being a dud at magic, she’s dropped out of Law School.
The test comes when Witch Hunter, Glenn is tasked to protecting Nestra by her older brother, Bax, his best friend, a man who would kill him if he knew what Glenn’s been thinking about his little sister. Things change quickly for them both when all of the rules around them are changed with a power shift. As they both learn to deal with the changes, they must face a family that is not all on board with their future plans.
