The Guinness record of the largest wave ever surfed so far was set at this beach in November 8, 2017. Surfer: Rodrigo Koxa, Brazil. Wave height: 24,38 m. But on October 29, 2020, a young guy, born in Nazaré 18 years ago, who started surfing four years old, António Laureano, claims to have ridden a 30,90 m wave. The staff of Guinness World Records is still analyzing the videos.
