This book is dedicated to the memory of the men and women from Creswell and Elmton in Derbyshire, who left their homes almost 80 years ago to fight in a world war. Very few are alive today, but perhaps a name may remind you of someone you knew and of how young they were when they responded to the country’s need. As the men of WWI are not forgotten, so will those of WWII not be forgotten.
